On the other hand, I would like to ask if there is any tutorial or example related to using a USB-RS485 converter ( FTDI_USB -RS485, or equivalents) to generate a DMX data frame to control lighting devices.
Hmm right now the only serial protocol we support is the ENTTEC DMX USB PRO one. I think it works with an FTDI - in the end from the programming point of view we we just send data to a serial port. If you know of other serial-based DMX protocols I can look at adding them
